Digital Learning Specialist
Mrs. Irungu is first a scientist, then a teacher and now a digital learning specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2000 from University of Nairobi. Rose has a 2 masters degrees in Food Security and Entomology (University of Nairobi and Texas A&M). She also holds a doctorate from Tarleton State University.
Rose has worked for FWISD for 12 years. She has previously taught biology, chemistry, environmental science and physics. . Rose is married to Roger with two children (Yanza (boy 12) and Sifa (girl 10)), and has a dog called Shaka. Rose enjoys reading fiction novels, watching soccer (EPL) and other sports.
Rose loves to coach teachers on technology to bridge the gap between professional learning and implementation. She loves co-planning and co-teaching.
