Hello and welcome to my biography! I started my education as an American Sign Language and deaf education teacher. Soon, however, I found myself pulled in the direction of my original love of psychology and was accepted into the Master's program at Texas Wesleyan University. I thought my future was private practice just like my fellow students, but my mentor saw something else in me and encouraged me to take a few more courses to become a school counselor.

I was a first generation college student and blessed to have a counselor who saw more than just the rough around the edges teen who thought they knew everything and had it all under control. Little did I know how much influence he would have on my life. Without him, I truly believe I would not be where I am today.

My goal is to help students navigate the storms of Early College as well as aid them in their search for a bright future. My door is always open and I encourage students and parents to come see me with any questions they may have. The question I am asked most often is, "Are you busy?" The answer is always, 'What can I do for you." While I am always busy, I know how important it is to make time for our students.
